The Office of the City Secretary is committed to focusing upon areas of responsibility, providing effective resolution of issues, rendering exceptional customer service to citizens, City Council and staff and producing vital and productive outcomes that positively reflect established priorities for the City of Brookside Village.   The City Secretary's Office  is to support transparent and inclusive government by providing access to City Council meetings, governmental records, and election services to the Brookside Village Community so they can participate in city government. 

Elections

The City Secretary is the election official for the city and oversees the administration of city elections to ensure compliance with all city, state and federal election laws and policies and to ensure that city elections are conducted in a fair and impartial manner.  

Important Election Information

There were changes made to election laws that citizens need to be aware of when voting in Texas. All Texas voters are now required to present an approved form of photo identification to vote in all Tex​as elections. For more information please, contact Brazoria County or visit your Brazoria County's website.

Public Information Request

The City Secretary is the custodian of all records. Anyone wanting to request public information is asked to fill out an Opens Records Act Request Form. This form is available below. Once the request has been submitted,  please allow the ten (10) business days required for processing.
